1. Order Processing Time
Before your order ships, we need time to receive, verify, pack, and hand it off to the carrier. This is called processing time.
Standard Processing: 1–3 Business Days
Most orders placed on hulivi.shop are processed within 1 business day. During peak seasons (holidays, sales events), processing may take up to 3 business days.
Important: Processing time is separate from shipping time. For example, if you order on Monday and we process on Tuesday, your order ships on Tuesday – then the shipping clock starts.
Cut-Off Time
Orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern Time on a business day are often processed the same day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM ET or on weekends/holidays begin processing the next business day.
Expedited Processing
We do not currently offer paid expedited processing. However, if you need rush processing for an emergency, email us at hulivillc@gmail.com with your order number and reason. We will try our best to prioritize, but cannot guarantee.
Order Confirmation vs. Shipment Confirmation

Order Confirmation Email: Sent immediately after you complete checkout. This confirms we received your order.

Shipment Confirmation Email: Sent when your order leaves our warehouse. This includes a tracking number. You will not receive a tracking number until your order ships.

2. Domestic Shipping (United States)
We ship to all 50 US states, including Alaska and Hawaii (though delivery times may be longer for remote areas). We do not ship to US minor outlying islands (e.g., Baker Island, Howland Island) except through APO/FPO.

Free standard shipping automatically applies at checkout when your subtotal (before tax and after discounts) is $49 or more. Free shipping does not apply to expedited or express methods.
3. International Shipping
HULIVI proudly serves customers around the world. We ship to over 40 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America (limited). If your country is not listed at checkout, please email hulivillc@gmail.com – we may be able to add it.
International Shipping Methods
We currently offer only International Standard Shipping for most destinations. Expedited international shipping may be available for select countries (Canada, UK, Australia) – please check at checkout.

Important: International delivery times are highly variable due to customs clearance. A package may clear customs in 2 days or 2 weeks – we have no control over this. Please be patient.
International Shipping Costs
International shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

Typical international shipping range: $12 – $35 USD for standard packages (under 2 lbs). Heavier orders (multiple bags, purses) may cost $40–$60.

Tracking for International Orders
International tracking is often less detailed than domestic tracking. You may see:

4. Shipping Costs & Free Shipping Threshold (Detailed)
How We Calculate Shipping
Shipping costs are determined by:

Dimensions – Oversized boxes (e.g., wide-brim hats in rigid packaging) incur dimensional weight surcharges.

Our checkout system integrates with carrier rate calculators to provide real-time, accurate shipping costs. We do not mark up shipping – you pay exactly what the carrier charges us (plus a small handling fee of $0.50–$1.00 for packaging materials).
Free Shipping Details (US Only)

Minimum order: $49 USD after discounts and before tax.

Free shipping applies only to Standard Shipping (3–7 business days).

If you upgrade to Expedited or Express, you pay the difference.

Why We Charge for Shipping on Orders Under $49
Shipping costs are a significant expense for small orders (e.g., a single belt or hair clips). By charging a small $5.99 fee on orders under $49, we can keep our product prices low for everyone. This is standard practice among online retailers.
5. Tracking Your Order
How to Track

Tracking numbers are generated when we print the shipping label, usually 1–2 days before the carrier physically scans the package. It may take 24 hours after label creation for the carrier’s system to show movement.

If your tracking says “Label Created, Not Yet In System” for more than 3 business days, please email us – there may be a pickup delay.
Tracking Updates for USPS
USPS tracking can sometimes be erratic. Common statuses:

“Pre-Shipment” – Label created, not yet dropped off or scanned.

“In Transit, Arriving Late” – Package is delayed but still moving.

What to Do If Tracking Is Not Updating

7. PO Boxes, APO/FPO, and US Territories
PO Boxes (Domestic)
Yes, we ship to PO boxes using USPS only. UPS and FedEx cannot deliver to PO boxes. If you provide a PO box address, we will automatically ship via USPS. Delivery times may be 1–2 days longer than street addresses.
APO/FPO (Military Addresses)
We proudly support our military personnel. We ship to APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) addresses via USPS. Please use the correct format:

Important notes for APO/FPO:

8. Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Packages
Lost Packages (Tracking Shows No Movement for >10 days)
If your domestic package has not been scanned for 10 or more business days (or 20+ days for international), it may be lost. Please contact us at hulivillc@gmail.com with your order number. We will:

Stolen Packages (Tracking Shows “Delivered” But Not Received)
This is a difficult situation because once the carrier marks a package as delivered, HULIVI’s responsibility typically ends. However, we will do our best to help.

Check with neighbors, family members, and your building’s front desk or mailroom.

Look around your property – carriers sometimes hide packages behind bushes or under mats.

Wait 24 hours – occasionally carriers mark “delivered” early and actually deliver the next day.

Contact the carrier directly to file a stolen package claim (USPS: 1-800-275-8777; UPS: 1-800-742-5877; FedEx: 1-800-463-3339).

Email us with your order number and a copy of the carrier’s response.
What we can do:

Delayed Packages (Not Lost)
The carrier is experiencing backlogs (common during holidays or bad weather). We cannot expedite a package once it is with the carrier. Please wait a few more days. If your order is delayed beyond the maximum estimate (e.g., 15 days for domestic standard shipping), email us and we will file a service complaint with the carrier.
9. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes (International)
Who Pays Customs Fees?
You do. HULIVI LLC does not collect customs duties, import taxes, or VAT. These fees are imposed by your country’s government and are your responsibility. The carrier may collect them at delivery (cash on delivery) or invoice you later.
How Much Will Customs Fees Be?
We cannot predict. Every country has different rules, duty rates, and de minimis thresholds (the value below which no duties apply). Common thresholds:

Canada: CAD $40 for gifts, CAD $150 for goods – but duties may apply lower. HST/GST also applies.

United Kingdom: £135 – below that, no customs fees (but VAT may be collected by the seller – we do not collect UK VAT).

European Union: €150 for no duties; VAT is due on all imports (varies by country, 17–27%).

Australia: AUD $1000 – below that, no duties or GST (generally).

Japan: JPY 10,000 – below that, no duties/taxes (generally).

How We Declare Packages
We accurately declare:

What If You Refuse to Pay Customs Fees?
If you refuse delivery because you do not want to pay customs fees, the package will be returned to us. However, the process is slow (2–4 months), and we incur return shipping costs plus any customs fees billed to us. In that case, we will refund the product price minus:

Return shipping cost (charged by carrier).

Any customs/duties fees we had to pay.
The remaining refund is often very small or zero. To avoid this, please understand your country’s import rules before ordering.
10. Incorrect Shipping Addresses
You Entered the Wrong Address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. If you realize you made a mistake, email us immediately at hulivillc@gmail.com with “WRONG ADDRESS – ORDER #______” in the subject line.

Before the order ships: We can update the address for free (within the 1-hour cancellation window).

After the order ships: We cannot change the address. The package will be delivered to the original address. If it is returned to us by the carrier (e.g., “insufficient address”), we will contact you. You will need to pay for re-shipping (actual cost) to a corrected address.
Carrier Error (Wrong Delivery)
If the carrier delivers to an address that is not the one you provided (e.g., they misread the label), please contact us. We will file a claim with the carrier and work to get your package redirected or refunded.
Return to Sender
If a package is returned to us because the address was incorrect, unclaimed, or refused, we will notify you. You have two options:

Re-ship – Pay the shipping cost again (same rate as original). We will send to a corrected address.

Refund – We will refund the product price minus original shipping costs and a $5 handling fee.
11. Shipping Restrictions & Hazardous Materials
We do not ship any hazardous materials. All our products (belts, hair clips, hats, purses, bags) are non-hazardous and can be shipped by air and ground.
International restrictions: Some countries restrict certain materials (e.g., leather products may be restricted by India, China, or others). If your country has a specific restriction, we will notify you at checkout or via email. In rare cases, we may cancel an international order if we cannot legally ship the product to you.
Prohibited countries: We do not ship to countries under US sanctions (e.g., Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Crimea). If you attempt to order from a sanctioned country, your order will be cancelled and refunded.
12. Business Days & Holiday Schedule
Business days: Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays.
Non-business days: Saturdays, Sundays, and the following holidays when carriers do not operate:

13. Split Shipments & Backorders
Split Shipments
If your order contains multiple items, we may split it into two or more packages for efficiency. This is most common when:

One item is on backorder (see below).

Items are stored in different warehouse locations.

One item is oversized.
You will receive separate tracking numbers for each shipment. There is no extra charge for split shipments.
Backorders
If a product is temporarily out of stock but we expect more within 14 days, we may offer a “backorder” option at checkout. You will see an estimated restock date. You have three choices:

Wait for backorder – We will ship the in-stock items immediately and the backordered item separately when it arrives (no extra shipping cost).

Cancel the backordered item – We will refund that item and ship the rest.

Cancel the entire order – Full refund.
If the estimated restock date passes and the item is still unavailable, we will notify you and automatically refund the backordered item.
We will never charge your payment method for backordered items until they ship (though Stripe may place a temporary authorization hold).
14. Shipping Insurance
HULIVI self-insures most shipments up to $100. This means we will cover the cost of lost or damaged packages (subject to the terms in Section 8) without charging you extra.
For high-value orders (over $100), we strongly recommend purchasing **shipping insurance** through a third-party provider like Route or Shipsurance. At checkout, you may see an option to add insurance for a small fee (typically $1–5 depending on order value). Insurance protects you against:
